maybe i’ll eventually come back to it. i just can’t get into it. i’m forcing myself to read it and there’s too many books on my list for that. i was really thrown off by the first portion of the book, where Amadeo, the main character, is in a re-enactment of the crucifixion of Jesus and literally is nailed to a cross? it’s too much for me and i don’t get it. i couldn’t ever move past it. i don’t feel attached to any of the characters and i don’t know whyyy. it’s good writing. it’s about real life things. i feel like i should like it but i just don’t
