I saw someone say "This sequel felt more like a solid writer churning out a contracted book." in their review, and I agree.
I love NK Jemisin's mind so much that I literally can't find words to describe it. She is an incredible writer, in my opinion the literary world's current genius. I just wish she had taken more time with this novel, it feels like she was rushed.
Nevertheless, I still enjoyed it a lot, and read it very quickly. This whole book is a Kid Cudi soundtrack, the series should accompany the album & movie Entergalactic. It completely transported me.
This is a perfect example of escapism that once agian gives you hope in your own world.
