Where was the tension?

The start up was good but the whole middle was just sex, Little time, sex, Little time, over and over. It was like same thing, different day. There were a little hints of tension between the guys, but that was it. Everyone's first harem, but no problems at all? The story was so slow too. It didn't need to be over 400 pages.

The plot about someone trying to hurt her was basically just to get her to Escana. Then it was like it was only brought up a few more times to not have made the beginning of the story completely useless. If the book had been half its size, I don't think it would have been so bad. I was pretty much done at the 86% mark but pushed through.

The way they got her to Escana seemed so out of place in such a pro consent, bdsm book. They're very much into telling her she can use her safeword, but forcelly takes her out of the country and then doesn't let her leave their house?? I felt like the author tried to make this not as odd as it was by making it a custom of the country but still. I'm no stranger to dark romance and dubious consent, but it just didn't fit.

I loved Caleb and Aleki! Caleb was the perfect Daddy Dom and Aleki came in second. Wolfe, on the other hand, made me super uncomfortable from the beginning. I get that he had a lot of childhood trauma, but wow. Throughout most of the book I felt like he saw Vivi as his property and disregarded what she wanted. I don't mean property in the conscentual bdsm way. I mean I thought a plot twist was going to be him locking her in the basement. He was the only character that that had any kind of development though. I was kind of okay with him by the end.

Vivi was an awful heroine. Oh my God. Okay she had a lot of trauma and low self esteem, but wow (yes, again wow). She constantly broke the same rules and did stupid stuff. I really wanted to take her out of the equation and make it a story about all three men going from friends to lovers.
