Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi
4.0
Did anything happen? No. Did I still eat it up because I absolutely adore Juliette, Kenji, and Warner’s characters? Absolutely. Restore Me picks up around two weeks after Paris Anderson’s murder and Juliette is struggling to lead her people, especially when the foreign nations are added to the equation. However, the nations really don’t play a large part until the end.
One thing I loved about Restore Me was Aaron’s POV. I needed it in my life. I really enjoyed it! I also loved the twists in this story. While I feel like the actual plot moved very slowly, those twists made up for it. Also, the Warner and Juliette relationship? I needed that too.
Overall, Restore Me seems to be the set up for the rest of the trilogy, and boy do I hope it is executed well because Restore Me took an entire book to set it up. Onto Defy Me!
