I've never been a fan of the way RK writes her heroines (especially female.) She always seems to write them as being feeble, weak virgins who bizarrely subservient to their male love interests. However, I was told not to judge this book to quickly with it being a gay romance and apparently her best book yet.
I was disappointed...
Firstly, the length of this book was ridiculous. Even reading it on my kindle, it seemed to drag. Secondly, all the penis jokes were cringe. That 5-year-old boner scene? Seriously unnecessary. Seriously, giving Rina extreme side eye for that one.
However, the book wasn't ALL bad. Niko and Bran's relationship was fun to read, they had some cute moments together. It's giving boy obsessed hero and sunshine-grumpy tropes. It's just a shame the other aspects of the book ruined it for me.
