My husband asked me what I was reading and so I told him it was second in a trilogy in a world where magic was kind of like computer programs, and explained a bit about that. And then he said, so let me guess, the main character is a young woman who is a chosen one with special powers and she's taking down the establishment? And I had to say well yeah pretty much. But cliches aside this is such a wonderfully creative and inventive world, with charming and complex characters. I hope the third one has a little more cheer though.
