I got this book on a chance1and was not disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing that detracted from this one, was the narrator at times. The Texas accent was a bit forced and her character transitions were hard to follow sometimes but, the book drove the narration past that. I also got the second book in the series I will be reviewing later. I bought this first book, and was given the second one for free in exchange for an honest review, so will be providiing one of those when I finish, but this one was a great ride. Michael Breakfield has a subtle way of leading you into the dark, and before you know it, you're snatched into somewhere you never expected. If you like your murder mystery with a little gore, and horror mixed in, you're really gonna love this one. I really had fun with this one. Enjoy and happy reading yall.
