This book is a slog. The bones of the story are interesting, and I wanted to know what happened, but it's way too long. It needed way better editing. Not only is it draggy but there are words used incorrectly, and inappropriately used idioms, and all kinds of things that should have been fixed before publication. About halfway through I was very close to giving up and finding a detailed summary just so I knew what happened. I don't think I'll bother with the 3rd part of the trilogy.
