The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

5.0

I wasn't sure what to think going into this. Theoretically, it was right up my alley, being an enemies-to-lovers story. The thing that I was worried about was the fact that Olive's sister and Ethan's brother were married. I'm not sure that it's as big of a deal as I went in thinking it is, but I wasn't sure I was going to like it as much as I could if it wasn't handled well. Then things started being revealed about Ami and Dane's relationship, and I might have predicted how things were going to turn out.

There was a point in the second half of the book, after Olive and Ethan returned from the trip, where I wasn't sure I was going to like how things ended. I didn't like the way that Ami and Ethan didn't believe Olive when she tried to tell them about Dane's behavior. I was honestly angry with both of them. Thankfully, the reconciliation with Ami (and the way she got back at him) and Ethan's "grand gesture" helped change my mind. The way these things might have gone really badly, but I feel like they were handled really well.
