Breakups - they're the worst, right?  For the majority of this novel we're inside Andy's head as he processes an unexpected breakup from his longtime girlfriend.  You want to both comfort and hug him, and shake him and tell him, 'Snap out of it and move on!'.  Mostly I wanted him to stop avoiding therapy.  Regardless, his journey was extremely relatable.  We've all been Andy, and have known an Andy.  But instead of being tedious and predictable, this novel was endearing and heartfelt, and surprisingly funny - I became very invested in Andy's journey.  The part at the end from Jen's (the ex) point of view was very illuminating and provided a lot of perspective.  I listened to this on audio, which probably bumped my reading experience up from four to five stars - I really enjoyed my time in Andy's head, thanks to the narrator.
