Delay of Game by Ari Baran

This was fun! Friends to lovers isn't always my favorite trope, but this was done super well. I loved both Nate and Zach. I enjoyed Nate's anxious but steady personality. I liked Zach's totally opposite carefree and fun personality, too. They complimented each other well. It was fun to see them as best friends and slowly realize they're more. There was a lot of assuming the other isn't into it, which is always frustrating, but it didn't negatively affect the story. I loved Zach trying to woo Nate. That was so sweet and funny. I appreciated Nate's insecurities as well as seeing Nate through Zach's eyes, where those insecurities didn't matter. Overall, this was a fun, easy read with great character, great cameos (hi Danny and Mike!), and sweet moments. 3/5 spice levels.

Notes: friends to lovers, teammates, anxiety, sexual awakening, idiots in love
