Full disclosure - I'm a big fan of this author. Her stories are always intriguing, her characters are always well-developed, and her writing is clean. That being said, even with my biased opinion going into this read, I have to say that this rewrite of the first book in the Hearts of Hollis series is so worth it! The story follows Jade, the small town girl who got involved with Madden to make someone else jealous. Who knew feelings would get involved, right? This cross between friends-to-lovers and second chance romance is adorable and realistic...like it could definitely happen in real life. Jade and Madden's supporting cast is a mix of friends who either support or hate their budding relationship. But you'll have to read it to see what happens. Hint - it's worth picking up and finding out! I can't wait to see how the author reworks the rest of the series. 5 Stars all the way!
