Frost & Raine by K.L. Noone

2.5 stars. The story was cute and the premise sort of interesting (reminded me a lot of X-Men lore and politics but it's a different kind of genetic elemental power rather than mutations).
The dialogue was awful though, like super stilted with half sentences. If it was more of a first person POV with a lot of the dialogue as internal monologue it would have worked better. When the MCs finally get together in the last quarter of the book, it gets very sappy and the dialogue devolves even further. It just read as very awkward and unnatural, like both characters were Michael Cera or Jessie Eisenberg, and I got annoyed.
