This is the first Phantom of the Opera retelling/inspired tale to truly hit the mark for me. Really, it is no surprise that Kate Bateman was the one to lure me in and hook me. I read this in one sitting which is a bit of a feat these days. This has the best combo of enemies to lovers, almost second-chance romance vibe with the first chance being a rather sharp spurning.
Lucy is a spitfire back after a shipwreck that almost ended her adventuring for good and she is a delight to follow. Watching her and Will dance around each other was a delight!
Absolutely recommend for a quick, fun read with a dose of heat!
