The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy
4.0
The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is a gentle book speaking to every reader's inner child as we follow a seemingly lost and lonely little boy on his adventure home, during which he acquires the company of a mole, fox, and horse who become his close friends to lean on. It is incredibly simplistic and lacks a structured storyline, but there are little delicious nuggets of wisdom tucked inside with beautiful illustrations, and at the end, we are left feeling as though we had just received a warm, wintry hug. This has a wonderful message of self-acceptance and love. I felt like a kid again reading this and can't wait to one day share it with my future children!
