Damian may be a dom but Jeff certainly isn't a sub. Jeff is scared, battered and been dealt a crappy hand in life that he doesn't feel like he has a way out off and all Damian want's to do is help. Their relationship and story is very different to others in the series and it's honestly really enjoyable to continue to see different aspects of BDSM while still focusing on the relationships between the MC's and driving the overarching story of the series that links all the books.
