In my opinion, this is hands down the BEST story to come out of the Fierro household yet! Sage Fierro is the apple of his parents' eye but he is also for sure their hottest cub. And while Maverick might be not a good guy (and that's describing him very very nicely), he lights this second chance romance ON FIRE! The angst that exists between these two is insane...especially since Maverick spends most of his last year in high school bullying Sage to no end. When true feelings are revealed, hearts break...including my own...and it's honestly unpredictable as far as whether this couple/not couple will survive. As usual, the author has created an amazing supporting cast of characters for us to either love or hate. Bates definitely gets my vote for BFF of the year! I'm not a huge fan of M/M romance, but this book sealed the deal for me...I'd read a million M/M stories if they're written like this!
