Anathema: Causal Enchantment Series, Book 1 by K.A. Tucker

I am intrigued on based on what I have read so far. I am not entirely sure where this series is going, but I am going to read the next book to find out.
It is fast paced in my opinion and I liked where it ended. Initially I was a little apprehensive because my first vampire book was twilight, so I automatically compare any book that deals with vampires to it. This is definitely not Twilight. Evangeline is more likeable than Bella, yes naive but not as whiney. There is insta love, which I can look past. I dont know too much about Caden, so I havent made up my mind about him, but I do like the dynamics between his family/friends. I do compare the campires to the vampires from twilight a little. Rachel reminds me a little of Rosalee, Bishop reminds me of Emmett, Fiona and Amelia both remind me of Alice.

So far no werewolves so theres that difference, plus Evangeline is a orphan and there is sorcery/ witchcraft. I like how the lies got revealed and just got bigger and bigger and im sure theres more to come.
