i enjoyed it.
however, there is much that i feel weird about that makes me question how much i actually enjoyed it. there was some terrible fatphobia in the beginning. (the fatphobia ends early on because fat people only exist to be evil family relations and don’t actually exist as kind people in the past.)
there is also some anti romani racism in the book, and i can’t tell if it was just some characters working through some internalized issues or the author herself had some issues that she haven’t fully worked through.
there is also a minor issue of sexual assault that could or could not be considered sexual assault depending on who you are. the main male character keeps saying no in the beginning and there isn’t even the slightest pause to see what’s going on with him saying no to sex.

Minor: Fatphobia, Racial slurs, Racism, and Sexual assault
