The book almost reads like a Hallmark movie. Substitute a small island for a small town with the local island boy returning after completing medical school. Enter Charlotte who comes to the island to study tortoises. Charlotte also has a hidden agenda which I will not spoil here. The characters are
mostly lovable especially Alex and Annie. Island life seems intriguing but not enough to make me want to live there. This is a good lighthearted read especially for the summer.
