This book really did feel like it’s own holiday movie. This book follows Zoe Andrews who is a Director and really wants to make her own Christmas movie but she hast to make it in Chelsea, Quebec, Canada. When the movie permits, don’t end up being secured, she decides to take a trip (during Christmas) up to Chelsea, and secure the permits herself. However, a very grumpy and reluctant mayor is in the way, and she has to do everything in her power in order to secure the permits and make her movie.
The characters were so loveable and enjoyable in this book. I love the setting of Quebec, Canada, and it really gives you that small town feel. There were many clichés in the story, but it had its unique plot points and scenes that were very adorable and enjoyable to read.
The spicy scenes were there however they were not super explicit and it felt quite quite. So if you’re someone who doesn’t like a lot of detail or wants their spicy scenes to be present, but quickly over then this book is for you.
Overall, it’s a really adorable book. I really enjoyed this one and it was the perfect book to help me get into the Christmas spirit.
I think the narrator did a really good job. The voice was elevated. It had multiple layers to it. The voices changed, depending on the character that was speaking, and it was really easy to listen to and follow along.
Thank you to Limbro.FM forgiving me an audiobook arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
