I’m sad to say that this book did not hit for me, especially following the first two.
I did really like Lowell and Moriah and I enjoyed the sex scenes. They are a really compatible and cute couple! That being said it was hard to sympathize with Moriah’s infertility struggles because she entered into a marriage where she knew they weren’t biologically compatible. Why would she think her relationship was the exception to science?
I absolutely hate COVID being represented in any fictional media. Too real life for me and not fun at all.
While I’m happy with the character growth, for a book that centers around a breeding kink it was disappointing that she never got pregnant. Not even in an epilogue! This is the one book where I wanted a pregnancy epilogue because it made sense to the overall plot.
Also I love werewolf books and I wanted Lowell to mark her.
I enjoyed the teaser for the next book though and will definitely be picking it up.
