I was expecting a lot but I was not ready to be blown away in the way I was! This book was stunning. From the very beginning, you're invested in Mina & Jax's relationship. I've never wanted a couple to get together while also wanting to steal someone's man more. Jax is in another tier of fictional men. He did the impossible of outdoing Dom with a quarter of the material!

JL Seegars' writing is so enjoyable. I have to keep reminding myself that this is her SECOND book. She has this amazing ability to highlight the divinity of Black love in every scene she writes. This is what representation should look like. Her characters feel authentic, you watch them navigate very real struggles (please read TW) yet, Mrs. Seegars gives the characters and the subject the compassion that they deserve.

I cannot say enough good things about this book! It has solidified the fact that I am a JL Seegars STAN. If you want a sweet, spicy, emotional, and fulfilling novella pick this up ASAP.
