A bit more serious (as in not joke filled) than I usually reach for.

Uggh “Billionaire” romance! The difference between billionaire and millionaire is more vast than the difference between me and a millionaire…the gulf is HUGE. But we're expected to believe that this just a normal guy, living in the SMALL town (that he grew up in) and is a single dad. I love a bit of reality suspension, when it comes to monster peen, ineptitude of law enforcement, lack of gag reflexes. But this is a step too far for me.

It really created a hurdle that was hard for me to get over.

Much of the book felt intentionally vague at times…no ages talked about, adult children that didn't grow up in the town come to visit old friends, but in the time these friendships were able to form the adults haven’t really seen each other in almost 2 decades? The kids would be 18 at maximum both have multiple kids...so how do they all live away from home?! It all seems a bit forced because there is insufficient back story to establish who these people are.

This is 100% a romance my mother would love...
