I feel like I'm just repeating myself, but truly the underlying theme of these books is just how fun they are. The characters are goofy and larger than life and making insane decisions. It's a genuinely laugh-out-loud funny conclusion (there's another book, but it's a collection of short bonus stories) to a ridiculous-in-the-best-ways story.

Really, the only thing that held me back from giving this five stars was that, coming from MDZS, it was a little disappointing for the "plot" (Tianlang-Jun & co) feel like such an afterthought. It's fair to the genre, but knowing MXTX can do both, it's hard not to want it.
