The story WAS, and remains, a five-star read for me. Any issue I have with the audiobook is purely due to the less-than-stellar narration. Mainly by the man (Guy Locke?) who voiced Garrett. He had strange hesitations and pronunciation difficulties that I found detracted from my listening pleasure. Listening to him narrate the part of Dominic Costigan's New York accent was painful, too. Ouch!

Love the book, though. Garrett and Kai are GREAT together!
