First time in years I've stopped a book without finishing it. The writing is rather lovely, and there are some great turns of phrase, but the plot is so uninteresting to me that I can't be doing with nearly 600 pages of the stuff. I read about a third of it, but I've too much else to read right now. Maybe I'll return to it and finish it off sometime, but for now, no.
