Dark, gritty, and often unpleasant, The Devil All the Time is filled with violent acts and deplorable characters. I didn’t want to put it down. The writing is sharp and uncompromisingly matter of fact. When I wasn’t reading, I was thinking about the different characters and storylines. I wanted to be back with them to see where things would go next as much as I wanted to get as far away as I possibly could. That’s writing done well; highly recommend.
