Appleseed consists of 3 stories: the myth of Johnny Appleseed in the form of two brothers (one human and one half-human half-faun); the dystopian world brought on by man-made climate change; the aftermath of the collapse of the civilization as we know of.

Sorry to say this mix of fable and science fiction does not work for me. The first two stories do not merge well with the third. The plot is too messy. The characters are cardboard cutouts.

Some nice imaginative elements: the Loom and its 3D printing, the nanobees and their hivemind.
