Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan
Did not finish book.
It was... an OK book, just not for me. It's a shame because I really wanted to like it - I read another book by the author and enjoyed it quite a bit, so I was hoping this one might be around the same quality.
It wasn't. It was... boring. I wanted to like the characters, but they weren't as funny or clever as they thought they were. The wizard was annoying and provided the answers to everything. The monk was equally annoying and also provided the answers to everything.
The main characters did nothing except do what everyone else told them to because "they had no choice", and never fully delivered in being as awesome as everyone seemed to think they were.
Also, the trick they fall on that starts this whole story... just... not... smart.
But, having abandoned it halfway through, I can see some potential in it, so I'm rating it 2 stars instead of 1.
