The Hundred and One Dalmatians by Dodie Smith

5.0

Absolutely as delightful as the movie! I wanted to experience some of the books that created some well loved childhood movies, and this one I am glad I did! I'm also happy knowing THIS author, Dodie Smith, in fact loved what Disney did with her work. It held up far better for me than Mary Poppins, where the book was actually quite a let down. But good old Pongo and Misses were fantastic, and as detailed and we'll written as any human adventure character. I fully enjoyed each place I saw direct lines that Disney used, and all the subtle differences between the two as well. Worth the read and the trip down memory lane!
