I’m confused. I read this because it is revered but I kept waiting for something, but over all it was a bit of downer. At first I was getting Ferrante vibes, but this was not as good in my opinion. She lived a pretty miserable life, but I enjoyed getting a picture of how some Scandinavians lived during that time period.
