I didn’t hate it. The end definitely got a lot creepier. I loved that our characters became unreliable narrators throughout. But the ending was just a bit too ambiguous for me.
Also the realistic elements in the novel were a bit too unrealistic. (Four people really couldn’t knock the door down? Or at least throw something hard enough to crate a hole?) and side note, but 90% of the stuff the little boy said added nothing to the story. Too much “potty humor”.
