This is a fairytale reimagining rather than a retelling as this is set a couple of hundred years after the death of Cinderella in the town of Lille - 2 young women who are in love Erin and Sophia live in a male dominated society where their ruler King Manford is an autocrat he dictates their families whole way of life.  Every year an annual ball is held where attendance is mandatory and failure to attend will have grave consequences for your family. The adherence to the story and legend of Cinderella is a powerful influence and in which every young girl is expected to be well versed.

Well what I can say about this - well it was just meh... It was okay but would I recommend it no.  It was a bit like a pantomime all the male characters were peripheral even the King he was just a villian to boo and hiss at.  It had plenty of potential but it just didn’t live up to it.
