Amari’s brother Quinton disappears while working for a secret organization that he couldn’t talk about. She’s not giving up on finding him even when it seems everyone else has. While she is home alone, she gets an invitation to a special summer program that her brother had attended. It turns out to be a magical summer program for people with abilities who want to work for the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs where Quinton worked.
While there she is treated unfairly for her ability and bullied. She didn’t let that stop her from trying to reach her goal. Amari did make friends with her roommate, Elsie and Dylan who says he’ll help her find her brother.
This was a good book for a kid who is into Harry Potter. It has its own story going on but same concept.
