The Day I Lost You by Fionnuala Kearney

5.0

First I wanted to give up the reading. I didn’t know what to expect from this author and from this book and at the beginning it was to slow for me. Also the grieving mother story (Jess) is not easy to read about. But then I couldn’t give up and kept reading. All became more and more complicated. It came out Jess didn’t know her daughter Ann life at all. The secret after secret is revealed. In the end no one’s life as simple as it seemed before the death of Anna. Beautifully written story with great characters even those in the background. But I think there is no background character as everyone plays important role. Wonderful book, which tells us nothing, is simple in life only the choices we made counts.
