“i’m sorry if i’ve seemed less than all in. i have a history of falling head over heels too quickly. i’m scared i’m doing the same here.” // “then let me fall first. i can catch you when it’s your turn.”
it's funny how the "undercover" brother is the one that truly graps the concept of the mc the best, his connection to it was truly touching. after that plot twist that put this book in motion, which i'm still reeling about, i knew it was going to be a wild ride. i love getting multiple povs of the same scene so the fact that both spark's and saint's stories happened almost simultaneously in the timeline made for a more immersive and complete experience of what the club went through and its repercussions, which will in turn dictate the next book. this domino effect paralleled with how the brothers are dropping like flies and falling in love left and right makes the stakes somewhat higher due to how they're adding new enemies to the club by protecting their old ladies.
