Such a beautiful book. Amy Tan’s writing puts words to so many real feelings that seemed impossible to describe before she did it. The mother daughter relationships are complex and genuine and filled with love. At some times it was hard for me to keep track of each character but that didn’t make the writing any less enjoyable or moving. I loved how it was 16 interconnected stories.
