Honestly, this book was quite enjoyable and I'm glad it was the first book of the year that I picked up! The book had some great underlying themes such as; society's expectations of what a women should wear and look like and how the uncle throws those ideas away and makes Rose feel comfortable in her skin. I also really liked how Rose helped her cousins better themselves and how she helped her Aunts feel more... "cheerful" in a sense. I loved how Rose grew into herself and how she starts to slowly realise that she will do anything to help out the people she loves and make them happy.
