The Unbound by V.E. Schwab
4.0
I flew through this book. It was hard to put down- it's dark, fast-paced, and thrilling.
The main character's fear was tangible which I credit to the author's writing, she has a way of sucking you in with her descriptions.
We got much more of the secondary character, which was my wish after reading the first book. I enjoyed the unreliable narrator, you're not sure if what the narrator is experiencing is real or if she's slowly losing her mind.
There's still some unanswered questions and things I want to read more about so I'm crossing my fingers for the 3rd book!
