I was so hype for this book, but it has a few issues. I feel like the perspective shifting was jaring at times and I couldn't remember who was Joanna and who was Ester until about 10 to 12 chapters in. The characters were fleshed out and thought through, but the story was hard to follow at times. The characters are relatable, but I didn't get a personal attachment until about halfway through the book. There have been better ones, and I feel bad for giving this 2 stars considering how excited I was for it, but it didn't grasp me how I thought and it was more confusing and hard to get into.
