This book hit all my sweet spots! I loved Famine and Ana’s dynamic. She was so put out with him and didn’t put up with any of his shit, and he was so unwillingly enamored by her! Ugh, they had me at the first death threat, really.

As far as the horsemen go, Famine’s my favorite so far. His backstory gave his character depth that Pestilence and War were missing, and it really put a human spin on his maliciousness when attacking cities. And he was so stinking sassy to boot! I loved this character in that way a reader can only love the morally grey villain/lover type.
