This is one of my favourite historical MM romance series but this might have been my least favourite story so far. While the ending ties it up nicely, I thought the plot was a little too far fetched. The fact that these two men always find themselves in these intense mysteries despite them not being in law enforcement and just wanting to sit at home in front of the fire is getting a little ridiculous. SoRelle's writing always captures me but I felt myself waning a bit here; I think I might be a little bored with Dominick and Alfie as characters and would like SoRelle to branch out a bit.
However, since I still loved the writing and the plot was engaging even if over the top, I would still recommend to lovers of the genre.
