Men Without Women by Haruki Murakami
4.0
men without women but not buy Hemingway hence nobody's drinking crap whiskey or eating bowls of old spaghetti.
i love how Murakami warps the distressing and depressing into beautiful tales, both enlightening and inspiring. i'm sure his prose here is especially relatable to many of his male readers, but rather than well up sad memories or leave the reader feeling forlorn, his stories were a brilliant mixture of revealing and alleviating in a wonderful eloquent way. my favourite were the last one and samsa in love in which metamorphosis is turned on its head in a scenario which in just as absurd as Kafka's
