Still enjoyed this one but it was my least favorite. At times it felt a little jumbled and didn’t flow quite right. I did enjoy the use of the Sleeping Beauty tale and the twist on it.
Aura is an empath and can hear peoples thoughts, most of the time it’s very overwhelming for her especially when she’s in a place with lots of people. Which leads me to Liam, I liked that she couldn’t overly read him and that he could silence the noise for her (but at appropriate times okay, if she wants the chatter let it be). I liked them together but omg there was so much back and forth between something maybe happening and then being like no there’s not, sometimes I wanted to shake them both out of frustration. Like it was so obvious to me you both liked each other!
Anyways Aura braves the world (and peoples feelings) to help Liam save his kingdom and learns along the way that she’s stronger than her and other people think. There is a strength in processing emotions, not everyone can handle that and remain sane which is a topic in this book. I liked that by the end she had gained some confidence in her abilities.
The ending set up for a very interesting next book.
