This book has a lot of great elements inside that would intrigue fantasy romance lovers such as myself.
I really like the delicious banter between the two main characters – Lieke and Connor which slowly changes to a sweet and spicy relationship!
It took me a while to warm up to Lieke’s character because I was too frustrated with her decision making skill at first, but she slowly grew on me as the story progresses.
Connor is a grumpy yet he’s such a sweet and caring fae male, having his POV is a great change to know about his views and feelings.

While I like most of the things here, I struggled the first half part of the book.
Some parts got me slightly confused which is why I wish we got to see more of the world building and also the background story of why Fae and humans become enemies.
While it comes with a happy ending, there’s still so many unanswered questions that left me wondering even after finishing this book. I really wished we got to explore more in the next book, I’m curious how these standalones series will connect to one another.
Overall, this is a pretty good read and I’m hoping there will be more development as the series progress.
I’ll keep an eye out for the next book in this series and I’m hoping the next book is gonna be about Matthias (Connor’s right hand man)!!
Thank you to RR Book Tours and the author for giving me an e-ARC of the book and for having me on this book tour. I’m leaving this review voluntarily!
