Here Is the Baby by Polly Kanevsky

3.0

Takes the readers through a day in baby's life, including meals, playtime, outings, and bedtime. Family relationships and interactions play a big role and there is lots to relate to in the story and pictures that would be familiar to a baby (6 months to 2 years?) such as going to a playground and library and getting kisses from Mom, Dad, and sister.

It lost one star because my baby just didn't find it that engaging, but perhaps because he's still too young for it. The second lost star is because the librarian is called "the lady" (why not use her title?) and because I would have liked to see some reference to breastfeeding (the baby is given milk several times in the story, but this is always illustrated with a bottle, despite bottles not being mentioned in the text).
