This book was a gem! The bond between Nell and her grandfather was heartwarming. I was disappointed in the grandfather though, how selfish! Also, the friendship between Kit and Nell was so pure. Even though Nell was the main character and I did love her but Kit was my favourite because his character was so kind, honest and pure. Quilp's character reminded me never to take loans :/ And the most character development was definitely witnessed in Richard which was awe inspiring. My heart just broke at the ending.
