4.5. I genuinely loved the writing in this. The descriptions are almost poetry. The characters are immensely relatable and you grow to really care for them. The only reason I knocked it down half a point was because I didn't particularly like the sea of flames element, I felt it unessesary, The plot could have developed without it. Having said that though, the visual imagery of the diamond is stunningly well done. As with every element of this story, if you close your eyes you can picture it.
