I remember reading this book in high school and immediately fell in love with it. I'm a sucker for Beauty and the Beast tales. This has a unique spin. It is set in modern times where everyone is focused on the physical beauty of people. I remember connecting with this because it is true physical beauty is considered everything in modern society. In this story, Kyle the pretty boy uses his good looks to his advantage. Kyle's father is extremely vain and a horrible person. Kyle is an interesting person and does not handle his transformation well, in fact, he joins a group chat with people who are also cursed. The group chat is a very interesting part of this story and does help Kyle, I think, not feel so alone.
